TRAINING - APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME SUMMARY The ASA Apprenticeship Scheme for Joint Sealant Application is available to New entrants to this trade. CANDIDATE PROFILE The Apprenticeship is open to anyone over the age of 18 years old who is a NEW to the Application of Sealant. Employers should first see if the Candidate has the right aptitude and ability to be a Sealant Applicator. We would suggest this person is monitored over a 3 month period then their name should be registered with the ASA for the next available course, ideally the candidate should therefore start their Apprenticeship within 6 months of joining that Employer. APPRENTICESHIP PROFILE This is a two year Apprenticeship made up of the following. There are 18 days of off the job training at the ASA Training Centre. There are 20 days on the job training by the Employer. (Minimum) And a further 5 days on Site assessment by the Assessor. The Candidate will spend the remaining working time of the two years gaining experience on site working for their employer as required. IPAF Certificated Mobile Access Plant Operator Boom Lift. PLASMA Certificated Mobile Tower Erection and Dismantler.
